Purpose of this Site
epmcentral.com offers free online tutorials on the Microsoft Project Server suite. The objective of this site is to serve the project management community on the usage of Microsoft Project Management Tools. Our mission is to develop well-organized and easy-to-understand online project server tutorials.
About the Authors
Chak Tukkadi has Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Computer Science & Engineering. Chak has also earned his MCP certification, which he received by taking the Microsoft exam “Planning, Deploying, and Managing an Enterprise Project Management Solution".
Chak has over 17 years of experience in design, development, and implementing client/server, web applications, and PMO applications.
After college, he started his professional career as an Oracle developer in the early 1990s. But, soon he changed his focus to web applications by using ASP, Visual Basic, and SQL Server. He has been a Technical Project Manager and executed various web applications for top organizations. In 2002, he started working on Microsoft EPM technologies and developed numerous custom solutions for PMOs by using Microsoft Project Central, which was the first version of EPM released by Microsoft.
For the last ten years, he has been working on EPM environments, customized the Project Server infrastructure and created custom reports, PMO dashboards, and metrics for a host of respected companies. He has been supporting Project Managers on day-to-day project management activities by providing training on Microsoft Project, PWA, and Windows SharePoint Services.
Mr.Chak Tukkadi works for his own company called "pVector Technologies". Currently Chak is serving as President and MS Project Server consultant for pVector Technologies. Working as an Project Server consultant, he is providing the consultancy services on all the versions of MS Project Server installation, configuration and administration. Chak has been performed Project Server migration effort for various top organizations.
Chak lives in Dallas, Texas, USA with his wife "Sangeetha" and son "Tinku".
Jonathan is a Independent EPM Consultant lives in San Francisco, CA, USA. He specializes in Program & Project Management solutions. He holds a B.A. in Computer Science from The Ohio State University and is a very big buckeye fan. He holds several Microsoft Professional Certifications specifically around project management software and concepts. Jonathan started his MS EPM career back in 2004 and has worked with MS Project Server versions ’02, ’03 & ‘07. Jonathan has recently received the highly sought after Microsoft Project MVP award. These days, he is involved with delivering complex business solutions to various clients across multiple industries. Jonathan is also an accomplished violinist.

Microsoft Project Server is a great tool for daily project management as well as portfolio management. Microsoft did fantastic job on developing this tool and the functionality that every organization needs. The Project Server tool suite has everything; we need to know how to use it.
