Step 3: Backup four Project Server 2007 databases & Content database
Steps:
- Open SQL Server Management Studio and connect to instance of the SQL Server Database Engine in which your Project Server 2007 databases resides
- On the SQL Server Management studio, click the server name to expand the server tree
- Right click on ProjectServer 2007_Litware_Archive database, click Tasks and then click Backup
- On the Back Up Database window, verify that ProjectServer2007_Litware_Archive database is selected (or the name you have given for the Project Server Archive database)
- Select appropriate backup location to save the .bak file. You can use the default location to backup the database or you can specify the new location to save the backup file. If you would like to use the new location to save the backup, remove the default location by clicking the Remove button. In the Destination section, select Disk and click Add button to provide the location to save the backup file.
- Click OK to backup the ProjectServer 2007_Litware_Archive database. This action will create the backup file with .bak extension.
- The following message appears if the backup is successful
Repeat the same steps four more times to back up the rest of the databases.
- ProjectServer2007_Litware_Draft
- ProjectServer2007_Litware_Published
- ProjectServer2007_Litware_Reporting
- ProjectServer2007_Litware_WSSContent
This process will create the following backup files in specified backup location.
