   Standard steps to manage the project by using MS project
  • Create new enterprise project by using MS Project
  • Add resources to the project plan (use Enterprise Resource Pool or Shared File)
  • Enter the tasks in chronological order
  • Classify tasks in to modules or phases (Define Summary Tasks)
  • Define dependency on applicable tasks as necessary (Linking Tasks)
  • Assign the work for each task
  • Assign resources to tasks (Create Assignments)
  • Baseline project plan
  • Collaborating the project schedules with resources
  • On regular basis, update the project progress
  • Review project performance with baseline
  • Measure earned value and take any required actions
  • Save project as template on project completion
