MS Project -> New Project
  
You can create the new project in MS Project Server by following methods:
  • Create blank project and build the project schedules
  • Create new project from enterprise template


Create blank project and build the project schedules:

Steps:
  • Launch MS Project Professional by connecting to MS Project Server
  • On File menu -> New
  • MS Project displays a blank project
  • On Project menu -> Project information
  • On Project information dialog box, please enter Start Date
  • Choose the Calendar to be used (Standard is the default calendar, if you have organization or project specific; also enter, if you have any organizational specific mandatory custom fields.
  • On File menu -> Save and provide project name. Default version of the projects in MS Project Server is published
  • Click on Save
Now you can start building the project schedules (tasks, resources and assignments) on this project plan


Create new project from enterprise template

Steps:
  • Launch MS Project Professional by connecting to MS Project Server
  • On File menu -> New
  • MS Project displays a blank project
  • Click on “On Computer” under Templates


  • Click on templates/general tab to select the project template
  • On File menu -> Save and provide project name. Default version of the projects in MS Project Server is published; Choose the Calendar to be used (Standard is the default calendar, if you have organization or project specific; also enter, if you have any organizational specific mandatory custom fields
  • Click Save

Modify the schedule time line and tasks as per your project needs.
