MS Project -> Update Project
 % Complete  | Actual Work    
  
Percent Complete: If you prefer to enter the percent of work complete on a task, use Task sheet view.

Steps:

On View menu -> Gantt chart

View -> Table -> Tracking (OR) View -> Table -> More Tables -> Tracking




Based on your estimation on task progress, enter the most accurate percent complete for task.

Any value less than 100 indicates that the task is not complete.


TIP: If you want to update multiple tasks with 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100 % complete value, you can use the Tracking tool bar.

Display tracking tool bar:  Right click on tool bar -> Choose Tracking




Steps:
  • Select the required tasks those needed to update with one of the available % value from tracking tool bar
  • Click on the required % value on tool bar
  • Save Project Plan
