Project Web Access 2010 - Project Permissions
Project Permissions: The new Project Permissions view empowers project managers to control who can view or edit their projects. Project managers no longer need to rely on Project Server Administrator to establish access rights to their projects.

Prerequisites to define the permissions on Project Plan:
  • User should be owner of the project plan
  • User should have “Manage Basic Project Security” permission enabled in Project Server 2010

Steps:
  • Navigate to PWA home and go to the Project Center

  • Select the project you want to add, remove or modify the permissions; Click on the Project Permissions

  • If you are defining the permissions first time, you will see the message "No user or group permissions have been defined for this project."

  • Click on New to create the permissions on project plan

  • Select the name from Available Users and Groups window and click on Add button

  • Selected user name will be displayed in Users and Groups with Permissions window

  • Select the appropriate permissions from Set Permissions section

  • Click Save button to save the permissions
